Ok. They had this one the Audrey Hepburn section. (They had an Audrey Hepburn section!) It's usually better practice to follow a writer or director rather than an actor/actress, but, well, I make an exception for Audrey Hepburn. Yeah.
Anyway, this movie's great. Four or five distinct threads of this couple's life unravel, intertwine, intersect, on road trips, business trips and holidays throughout the south of France, each a distinct stage in the long arc of their relationship.
Here are a few lines:
Mark: Oh, sorry, do you want me to take your picture?
Joanna: No. No, no.
Mark: This is really a three-dimensional camera. It's really meant for photographing three-dimensional subjects.
Joanna: I'm three-dimensional, as a matter of fact.
Mark: It's basically for buildings.
Joanna: Well, I'm not a building.
Mark: Are you a virgin?
Joanna: ...
Mark: Thought you were, I can always tell.
Joanna: Congratulations.
Mark: I was two years at the University of Chicago.
Joanna: Studying virgin-detection?
Mark: Call it night school.
Mark: As I said to the duchess: if you want to be a duchess, be a duchess. If you want to make love, hats off.
(Joanna plucks off her tiara.)
