And send us some. We want to print a book.
Here's the deal:
- Go to seedystories.com. The site's easy to figure out.
- Write something based on what you get from it. A short story, a snippet of dialogue, a poem, a headline. Whatever roots.
- Send your best stuff to us.
Just like that. One, two, three.
If we love it, we'll include it in the book we'll be printing toward the end of the summer. And maybe we'll run it here as well.
And if you want to register on the site and add some seeds, that's cool too.
Contact ed@seedystories.com. Thanks.

The site's undergoing some hopefully nonapparent surgery. Its back end needed some trimming and firming, a little nip/tuck, and the procedures should strengthen it by about 300%.
That said, if you notice any bad funk, please be kind and send me a note.

New goods
by Richard Mavis | 08 Dec 2007, 3:13
Prints of my collages are now available for ordering on the goods page. Many were posted on this site before the crash, some were not, and none were available for purchase. I was richer then.
Decorate your cube! Be the first on your block! Make great gifts! Collect them all!
My seedy side

If you've been wondering why things have been kind of quiet around here—except, of course, all that heavy metal—you've been wondering with good reason. I've been working on a fun tool which is now ready to debut to you: Seedy Stories.
It's essentially an idea generator. You give it some parameters—say, three whats and two whos—and it returns a prompt.
I think it's fun. And in the right hands it can also be quite useful. Paolo Mirando's little story Tyrsdream was written from the prompt "truculent gentlemen, ballroom, brown cow".
But it's community-driven, which means it's only as fun as the people who are involved are able to make it. So, please, enjoy it.

At present, to buy one you'll have to send me an email and we'll work something out. But I'll have PayPal active shortly.

Oldies is goodies
by Richard Mavis | 30 Oct 2007, 20:16
I'm slowly posting some of the old material that I was able to recover. So expect to see new (old) stuff appear regularly or sporadically on the archives page.
If there's anything you want reposted that I haven't done yet, send me a note.
