Before we encountered the girl
Who said "let's give my yarn here a whirl"
Then started to preen—
The grossest we'd seen—
Our gecko had shat out a pearl.

7.
Before that, I think 'twas 'round two,
We decided to break in to the zoo.
If I remember it was
To have fun with the fuzz
So we stole us a sun bear named Gum Shoe.

& before that we're sat on some wires—
Which nobody really admires
Until things go through them.
So we red & we blue them
& sell them to tryers & criers.

9.
& before that we stayed up until noon.
The day prior just ended too soon.
We were thick with the throng,
We saw that their signs were all wrong
—to fix them we popped a balloon.

10.
& before that you said you were ill
But we lived a few time zones apart still.
So I sent up a few chants,
Wassailed you with a get-well dance
—here's hoping it fitted the bill.
