Limericks for Delilah

1.
This morning we woke up afloat
Our manatee had left us a note:
"You both kind of smell
but 'tween us and hell
for Grand Mogul you both've got my vote."

2.
Today we went to the store
Which was a pretty big bore
But then we went home
Which is a glass dome
And white light shone out through the door

3.
At lunchtime we went to the palace
I misspoke "trellis" as "trallas"
The king said "that's fine
if you'll have some more wine
and show me what we'll call your 'fallas'."

4.
And today you knitted a tent
I asked 'bout what your tent meant
You said "dear, I'm stressed.
We're skilled and quite blessed,
but it's in case we can't make our next rent."

5.
We pined to play ping-pong inside
With what we just couldn't decide
So instead we made bread
In the mold of your head
And fed it to birds at high tide
